Eurostars

EUROSTARS

EUROSTARS is a transnational funding scheme from the EUREKA Programme. Its aim is to help R&D performing SMEs to get their innovation faster to the market and lead international R&D projects.

“R&D performing SMEs” are SMEs that dedicate at least 10% of their turnover or full-time equivalent (FTE) to research activities. The projects must include at least 2 participants from 2 Eureka countries.

It is fine-tuned to focus on the needs of SMEs, and specifically targets the development of new products, processes and services and the access to transnational and international markets. EUROSTARS is open to the development of any new product, process or service with a civilian purpose.

EUROSTARS projects are selected at transnational level by the EUROSTARS secretariat, but funding is provided by the national/regional funding authority of which the SME depends.
