The Horizon 2020 Model Grant Agreement has adopted the lump sum pilot package to simplify funding and ...

... focus on the implementation of defined activities against defined amounts. The package includes:

• The new lump sum pilot model grant agreement;

• The methodology for establishing pre-defined project lump sums, to be used within the Nanotechnologies, Advance Materials, Biotechnology and Advance Manufacturing and Processing, Topic DT-NMBP-20-2018: A digital ‘plug and produce’ online equipment platform for manufacturing (Option 1);

• The methodology for establishing project-specific lump sums, based on cost estimation in the proposals (Option 2). (this is currently SC1 only 1 topic)

In addition, a mono-beneficiary special needs lump sum model grant agreement for Marie-Skłodowska Curie actions (MSCA) has also been adopted today. This special needs lump sum grant will provide funding to cover the additional costs that researchers with special needs may encounter when participating in MSCA-ITN, IF, RISE and COFUND actions.

The MGAs and lump sum methodologies will be published on the Participant Portal, under the Reference Documents site.
