The first bulk grocery shop in Brussels thanks to Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme!

Thanks to ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS, a young Brussels entrepreneur has opened the first bulk grocery shop in Saint Gilles!

My name is Florian Piette and I participated into the ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS in 2015. I worked in Paris with Stephane Vatinel, founder of “La Recyclerie”, a location that combines bar, restaurant and urban agriculture.

End September 2017, I opened with my friend Arsènios Athanassiu, the first day by day shop in Brussels. We are the first day by day shop outside of France where day by day is the first bulk grocery network.

At La Recyclerie, I learned a lot about operational and financial performance while standing for environmental value. We are pursuing the same objective with our day by day shop.

Our day by day shop is a bulk shop where you buy only what you need and without unnecessary packaging. People can come with their own containers to reduce packaging waste. As they choose what they need, we reduce together food waste.

Address : 29 avenue Paul Dejaer, 1060 Saint-Gilles, Brussels
